Challenger Hellcat Drag Races a Nissan GT-R, Police Wins by Pulling them Both Over

I’ve always wondered what must be going on inside the head of someone drag racing well within triple digit speeds on public roads. I mean, unless you’re on an unrestricted sector of an Autobahn in Germany, you are breaking the law and putting innocent lives at risk. I’m not even sure about the German part of things being legal either.
We’ve seen our fair share of drag racing done on American highways too and most of them are limited, in best case scenarios, at 75 mph. So what are they thinking? Not much, but I’m so glad that these two wanna-be racers got pulled over by the police.

The description of the video tells us even more about their stupidity but let’s take it one step at a time. We don’t get to see the camera car but the uploader claims it’s a brand new Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the car that made history with its 707 HP engine.

On the other hand, we do get to see what it’s racing up against, a Nissan GT-R that he claims has an ECU tune and a lot of ‘bolt ons’. Considering that looks like an 09 model, and looking at how it performed, we’re guessing some 550 HP are being put down, at most, which is a slight increase over the stock 480-485 HP that the 3.8-liter V6 used to make.

There’s also a Mustang noticeable at times, including when the police pulls everyone over but it’s not all that important right now as the duel seems to be focused on shaming the Japanese.

Yeah, the Challenger wins thanks to its 150 extra horses but in the end everyone loses because a highway patrol police car seems to be getting in their way. Just after the second race, out of apparently thin air, an old Dodge Charger police car shows up, ending the madness.

What struck us as even more idiotic is the fact that the driver of the Hellcat, probably amped up with adrenaline from winning a drag race, thought for a second that he might also outrun the cops. Talk about who’s driving on public roads these days... Keep it on the track, nobody is going to pull you over over there.

PS: what seems more ironic is the fact that the video is seemingly advertising a private chain of healthcare clinics.
