Celebrity Plastic Surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan Dies In Car Accident

The famous plastic surgeon who was in the news this year for the 10 surgeries in one day that he did on The Hills star Heidi Montag died Monday afternoon, after a fatal traffic collision. Dr. Frank Ryan was driving his 1995 Jeep Wrangler southbound on SR-1, north of Deer Creek Rd, the police informs via RadarOnline.com.

It appears that the Jeep veered to the right and ran off the roadway, and then overturned down a rocky embankment towards the ocean. The vehicle eventually landed on its roof. Dr. Frank Ryan, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

At the time of the accident the surgeon was accompanied by his dog, a Border Collie named Jill, who suffered an eye injury and a paw injury in the crash. Ironically, Dr. Frank Ryan had tweeted a photograph of his dog on a hike with him minutes before the crash.

Police reports also reveal that no other vehicles were involved in the collision. However, police says the cause of the collision is still under investigation, with an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death expected to be performed soon.

Dr. Ryan had just been hiking in Malibu with his dog. In fact, his last tweet was a photo of his dog with the caption, "Border collie Jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune."

“After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew!”
he tweeted.
