The new Lotus Evora is a fast, handsome, sculptural sports car capable to live up to the most exquisite tastes. It is definitely faster than the well-known Elise and more refined at speed than the sharp Exige and, as Lotus promises, the motor will achieve a speed of 160 mph at less than 5 seconds!
Both impressive and exclusive at the same time as less than 2000 exemplars of the hand-built Lotus will be made a year for international distribution. Fashionable vehicles of the moment must be environmentally friendly (that means 225 grams of CO2 per kilometer), include seats for the children and benefit from exclusivity as well, a chapter the British car excels at.
According to Mike Kimberley, CEO of Group Lotus plc, "The Evora is the biggest milestone for Lotus since the Elise was born 13 years ago. We are currently working at broadening the appeal of the Lotus brand through an aggressive 5-year model plan of which this car represents the first exciting step."
However, as for the children chapter, the luxurious vehicle seems not to have passed the test completely. Even though the driving experience is really breathtaking, famous couple J-Lo and Marc Anthony would rather search for more space for the children. Their opinion is shared by Gavin Henson and Charlotte Church who would be eager to have a luxurious sports car, but one that fits their young family.
Those who have already fallen for the model should know the price is not unreachable for those who are not exactly VIPs. The Lotus Evora is the first of three new cars that will be included in the new five year business plan and will enter the sport market at less than £50,000!
