Caterham’s mysterious new concept sportscar, recently previewed on the company’s Formula One cars, has been revealed by three photos that have surfaced the Internet yesterday.
Expected to be unveiled at the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend, the new Caterham concept car is called AeroSeven, as the pictures published (and quickly removed) by Auto Express reveal.
Designed as an open two-seater sportscar, the AeroSeven has received Caterham’s familiar massive grille, while the Seven’s classic headlamps have been replaced by two LED stripes. The vehicle was also fitted with side-exhaust and painted in a green/yellow scheme, which reminds us even more of the original Caterham Seven.
Little else is known about the AeroSeven, but the British automaker said it will be “designed and developed with significant input from all of Caterham Group’s specialist business arms”, including its Formula One team. Stick around for more details as the AeroSeven loses its wraps in Singapore.
