It looks like the reckless rider whose Catch Me If You Can video went viral on social media websites was caught, after all. The San Antonio police arrested Alberto Rodriguez, 26, after they have been tipped on a stolen motorcycle.
Still, with all the evidence, all the leads converged on Rodriguez, who was already being looked for by the police. The San Antonio PD uploaded the video on their Facebook page and asked for public support in finding the author of the video. The footage shows a motorcyclist riding at great speed, said to be around 100 mph (160 km/h) between stopped or slow-moving traffic, on the Texas Interstate 35 in broad daylight.

Allegedly, some of Rodriguez’ friends tried to persuade him on to taking the video down from the internet, but to no avail. Now, according to news.com.au, Rodriguez was also wanted on “two outstanding felony warrants and a misdemeanor assault warrant”.

In case he is found guilty on the charges in connection with the stolen bike, it appears like he won’t be back on a bike any time soon. Still, it’s really hard to fathom what was he thinking about when he decided to post his video on the Internet. Not exactly a smart guy, was he?
