It looks like 2015 is the year of weird things happening in the financial backgrounds of the MotoGP season, as another team seems to have troubles with their sponsor. This time it's about Lucio Cecchinello's LCR Honda, still having financial group CWM as title sponsor, though for an uncertain period from now on.
CWM's boss Antony Constantinou is having a hard time with the law in the UK, and this is rumored to have a negative impact on the presence of the company as a title sponsor for LCR Honda. The head of Capital World Markets (CWM) is facing serious sexual harassment allegations.

Prosecutor Eloise Marshall spoke about "six offences alleged in relation to three different complainants, as a result of drinking or associated with the drinking of alcohol."

"Doing everything to continue with LCR until the end of the season"

Lucio Cecchinello told gpone that he talked to Constantinou, and the CWM boss assured him that "he was doing everything to continue until the end of the season with the team," but the development of the investigation in the coming weeks is the key element in this.

Team LCR already has the logo of Castrol on the bike, and the same media outlet reports that Lucio Cecchinello said that the recent bigger presence of Castrol around the LCR pits was only related to a deal for a commercial.

The Italian publication rightfully asks whether CWM would have allowed this "stunt" in case everything went just fine with the financing of the team. Apparently, LCR received two thirds of the whole payment agreed with CWM, so this means he is bound by the English financial group deal until Silverstone.

After the Great Britain GP we might see LCR changing once more its title sponsor. Castrol has real chances to become the new sponsor for LCR as their relationships with Honda have been very good in the past. Even more, Castrol has also stepped in to help Honda teams in times of need.

Whether this prospective deal will offer Cal Crutchlow the more secure feel and tighten the relationships with LCR is yet to be found out. Until more news surfaces from LCR's camp, Crutchlow is still up on the riders' market, officially looking for a ride in 2016, with some of the paddock whispers indicating he could be eyeing a return with Ducati, in the Pramac satellite team...
