Casey Stoner to Ride a Honda RC213V-S at Barcelona on June 11

If we are to believe the latest rumors, Honda will not only introduce their all-new, top-of-the-line RC213V-S ahead of the Catalunya round next week, but will also have two-time world champion and MotoGP Legend Casey Stoner at the helm of the new machine.

Spanish sport outlet motocuatro says that Stoner will be more than a pretty, famous face in the vicinity of the motorcycle. He is expected to ride the street-version of the RC213V during a special introduction event staged by the Japanese and the European branches of the manufacturer.

Imagination already runs wild, as some even see Stoner remaining in Barcelona for the post-race test and probably taking on to his duties as a test pilot aboard the RC213V MotoGP machine.

No tech specs leaked, nobody knows what to expect from the RC213V-S

Now, that the launch date seems to have been cleared, and Honda managed to add extra excitement by adding Stoner in the event, the next thing everybody wants to know is how powerful the RC213V-S will be.

Current superbikes revolve around 200 horsepower, give or take, but Honda's current CBR1000RR is somehow slacking a bit. The fans have even mentioned expectations in the 230 hp range, but honestly, we kind of doubt the RC213V-S will be that powerful.

While this is anyone's guess until official figures surface, we'd rather put our money on 200 hp. We are still nine days until Honda pulls the wraps off the RC213V-S, so it's a good time to cue the "gentlemen, place your bets" line. And here's the badge of the RC213V-S!
