Ladies and gents of all ages, get ready for another visual frenzy signed Pixar: Cars 2 is coming, slowly but surely, to the proverbial cinema near you, even if it won't actually get there until June 24 of next year.
Until then, we are left with whatever crumbs the guys who dream it all decide to throw off their high-tech table. And today, those crumbs spell trailer, the first full one released by Pixar. And boy, what a Bondish-style trailer we'll have.
While we still got your attention and assuming you haven't already jumped passed these empty words to watch the clip below, we'll give you a quick sum-up of what Lightning McQueen will be up to this time, accompanied by the usual suspects.
On the one hand, we'll have a crazy trip around the world, to racing friendly countries like Japan, Germany, Italy, France and England. Secondly, we'll have quite a handful of races in the aforementioned countries, adorned with a monumental mistaken identity case.
Long story short, one of the characters, Mater, will be mistaken for a top spy named Finn McMissile, which will lead to a whole range of new adventures. The resulting plot will conclude in a showdown at Buckingham Palace.
Cars will be brought to life by the voices of Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt, Larry the Cable Guy, Cheech Martin and Tony Shalhoub.
The still unnamed sequel is hoped to fair much better than the first movie. The first one raised $461,981,604, a sum which makes it the weakest film in Pixar's resume.
