Automotive legend Carroll Shelby tragically passed away earlier this year, leaving behind him a void in the pony car world, but also increased demand for everything he touched. This is his very own snake, a 2009 Shelby GT500KR and it’s going up for sale at the upcoming Vicari Biloxi Auction.
The car was delivered to Carroll’s ranch for personal use, but we can’t say for sure how long he used it for, since it was sold to the current owner. Still, we ca tell you that he did indeed drive it.

So you know it’s not a fake, the seller has full documentation, including a bill for the sale from Shelby to him and a copy of the original owners title.

As for the fun side, the GT500KR is powered by a 5.4-liter v8 with 540 horsepower. That’s supposed to be enough for a 0 to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) sprint time of 4.3 seconds.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
