For those who don’t find Porsche configurators complicated enough, the German carmaker’s Exclusive division is always happy to provide comfort. Whether you want the color of your T-shirt on the roofliner or perhaps ostrich leather inside your glove box, this is the answer.
In its current form, Porsche Exclusive has been around since 1986 and they’ve come up with some pretty extreme projects. However, we are not here to talk about these, as we’ll be focusing on what must’ve been an ordinary* task for them, the Porsche Carrera GT in the adjacent images.

The supercar is currently up for grabs on eBay, being offered for US$ 950,000 (EUR 697,550 at the current exchange rates). That price is roughly double the amount a Carrera GT usually trades hands for and it’s not just the 260 miles on the odo or the mint condition that determined this financial boost. Thanks to a few touches coming from Porsche Exclusive, this is regarded as “one of a kind”.

*Sure, a Carrera GT is never average, but Porsche Exclusive didn’t do all that much for the supercar. Back in 2005 when the car was produced, it came with a price of US$485,260, out of which the Porsche Exclusive options accounted for a tame US$ 36,960.

By the way, all these numbers also come to show that nowadays a Carrera GT basically sells for the same price it had when it was new.

Returning to this unique example, the Porsche Exclusive touches are as follows: the Arancio Borealis (Orange) hue was made to sample for US$ 23,000. By the way, this is a Lamborghini color. In addition, the brake calipers were finished in Black for a whopping US$8,460. Moreover, carbon fiber trim was used for the steering wheel (US$ 3,630), handbrake (US$ 900) and for the gear lever (US$ 470). Apparently the guy didn’t like the Carrera GT’s tribute to the 917 Le Mans-dominating racer, namely the supercar’s wood gear lever.

The seller explains he bought the car from a collector on the East Coast back in 2009 and has been keeping it in his garage (Sacramento, Ca) ever since. The man has apparently never driven it, but the V10 gets started and run once a week. It looks like this guy is about to enjoy the meaning of “good things come to those who wait”...
