Carlsson Tweaks the Mercedes SLS AMG

Well known for its work on Mercedes-Benz cars, German tuner Carlsson has just revealed the details of its latest project, which is set to make its official public debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show this September.

The program targets the Mercedes SLS AMG model in both roadster and hard top form, and consists of a coilover suspension upgrade, a new set of wheels and some interior tweaks.

Taken separately, the kit consists of a lightweight aluminium coilover suspension with Littronic technology which raises both axles by up to 40 mm at the push of a button. Thanks to this new suspension the Carlsson Mercedes SLS AMG can easily get over speed bumps, underground park exists or rough level crossings, eliminating the danger of damaging the car's front apron or under-body.

The Carlsson Mercedes SLS AMG suspension will automatically lower itself once the car reaches 80 km/h,. Pricing was set at EUR8,398.

Next we have the exclusive 20 and 21 inch wheels that can be fitted on the Mercedes SLS AMG for an additional EUR8,067. These are meant to create a better visual and physical connection to the road for the Gullwing and its convertible sister.

Finally, the interior highlights include a various number of accessories, meaning the SLS AMG can receive the finest leather upholstery for the seats, headrests, dashboard, the centre console, armrest, door trim panels and door handles for an extra EUR9,680.
