Even if most Mercedes models are usually rated as pretty good looking cars providing advanced (or sometimes, enough) performance, carmaker Carlsson wants even more from the latest CL, so it has created its own CK65 RS “Eau Rouge” Dark Edition. Basically, the whole car is based on Mercedes’ CL model, but it also includes several styling and performance parts meant to differentiate the two automobiles.

There are two levels of performance of the newly-announced CK65: the first one provides a maximum power of no less than 705 horsepower while the second version gives even more power with top output rated at 765 hp. This means Carlsson’s model is capable of developing 153 horsepower more than the standard CL65 AMG.

And because we’re talking about the performance of this upgraded Mercedes, the 765 hp variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in no less than 3.8 seconds, with the top speed electronically limited to 208 mph (that’s over 334 km/h).

As mentioned, the customized model also integrates various styling parts, starting with a new carbon-fiber body kit with new front and rear lip spoiler plus air diffuser and 21-inch multi-spoke wheels.

“The idea, concept, preparation and finish especially show the performance efficiency of the Automobile Manufactory Carlsson. The Carlsson Aigner CK65 “Eau Rouge“ Dark Edition surely is the most impressive proof for the successful synergy of two brands into a technically as well as creatively demanding automobile,” Carlsson said in a press statement introducing the new models.

We’re sure that pricing details are extremely important for you, so here you are: the “less-powerful” Dark Edition V12 costs at least 319,000 euros while the upgraded V12 with Carlsson Bi-Turbo is priced at 374,000 euros.
