I don't know if you've heard about this, but long-time Mercedes tuner Carlsson was saved from bankruptcy by a Korean company back in December 2015. Before that, their body kit for the C-Class looked like the car had blue chrome on it.
In fact, the old Carlsson design language was filled with such horrible ideas like putting gold on the side of the S-Class. As for the CC63S body kit, it was a shocking mess that ruined what is possibly the best looking C-Class of all time.
This new CC63S is all about showing respect to the source material, which is the only compact performance sedan with a mighty V8 engine. Carlsson has even played with the software of the 4.0-liter boosting it by 115 PS to a godly figure of 625 PS, matched by an additional 125 Nm of torque.
The German tuner says the C63S will now do 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.8 seconds. Not only do we believe them, but we are actually excited to see what Carlsson will achieve with the badder E63 that just came out.
The aero component of this project started off at the front with a spoiler lip and augmented air intake frames in gloss black. Carlsson has also added flicks to the sides of the bumper for extra downforce.
The side skirts also get some inserts, followed by the new rear apron and trunk lip spoiler. All parts can be ordered in carbon fiber at extra cost. The cost? €15,990 before tax and installation.
The two pairs of black-chromed tailpipes that flank the diffuser finish the bespoke stainless steel sports exhaust system fitted to the C63. Thanks to a valve control system, the driver can switch to have an even deeper and more sonorous sound for the open road.
The car is presented on the new Carlsson Wheel 1/10 X in a 20-inch combination with sticky rubber. The wheels in sizes8.5 x 20 inches on the front axle and 9.5 x 20 inches on the rear axle in are joined with the Michelin Pilot Supersport tires 245 / 30ZR20 and 265 / 30ZR20, respectively.
We're promised a classy Alcantara and Nappa leather interior. But for now, these are the only photos made available.
