German tuner Carlsson today announced it will debut the lightest 21-inch wheel in the world at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March, along with a couple of various goodies including a smart Limited Edition and the small series of Aigner CK65 RS Blanchimont.
The 21-inch Carlsson forged wheels weighs only 10.8 kilograms, which makes it the lightest 21-inch wheel in the world. In case you may be wondering who needs such a light wheel, Carlsson says that vehicles equipped with the five-spoke unit provide both enhanced performance and a stylish look.
A different set of wheels, based on the REVO design, will be also displayed at Geneva in different sizes - 8.5 x 19“, 9.5 x 19“, 8.5 x 20“ and 10.5 x 20“ for B- to S-Klasse - and will cost 399,15 euros, according to a statement issued by the German tuner.
"Carlsson is the only manufacturer in the world who consequently relies on forged technology and already introduces its seventh design line to the market. Not plainly conservative, but conspicuously provocative the new wheel line exhibits its double spokes with a rigid colour contrast in matt black and gloss-turned silver," the company praised the design of the wheels in the statement for the press.
There are no other details at this point but, from the tiny picture Carlsson has sent to us, we can confirm the light wheel looks quite appealing. We're still waiting for more and high-resolution picture tough so let's wait until Geneva opens its doors on March 5. For those of you attending the show, Carlsson will display its goodies in exhibition hall 2 at stand 2144.
