Carl Edwards Wins Able Body Labor 200

Kyle Busch's 2009 Nationwide Series title was postponed by Carl Edwards' win at last weekend's Able Body Labor 200. Edwards was followed by Kevin Harvick, which came 2.415 seconds behind him and Reed Sorenson.

"That's 25 - 25 wins," Edwards told NASCAR. "I know Kyle's almost clinched the championship, but that's what we came here to do, to win this race."

With Edwards in the front, Busch needed to clinch at least the seventh position to have a clear shot at the title. Things looked pretty disconcerting in the early stages of the race, as he managed to spin off his No. 18 Toyota off Turn 2 on Lap 7 in front of Clint Bowyer's No. 29 Chevrolet.

He restarted 35th and by lap 30 he was already in 12th. Although he managed to get as high as fourth, he slipped back to ninth position by the end of the race.

The race was animated by the conflict between Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin, who got into an incident in lap 157. Hamlin bumped Keselowski, who managed to then get behind Hamlin and turned Hamlin's No. 20 Toyota. The incident caused Hamlin to pit and restart, on lap 164.

"On the last restart there, Denny got into the back of me and pushed me up the track," Keselowski told the source. "I was going to return the favor. When he did it to me, I saved it. When I did it to him, he didn't save it."

"We just got into a pushing match. I don't really don't hold any grudges. I don't know why he wanted to do that. But whatever, that's just how racing is, I guess."

"I can sit here and bash him for the next 20 seconds or so and give you all a bunch of sound bites," Hamlin had his say.

"But I'm just happy that I signed up for next week's Nationwide race, and you know in turn, there's a lot of guys that owe him. There's a lot of guys that have a lot of chips that they're going to cash in, I'm just going to be the first to the pay window.''
