Few of us can say we’ve been this brave on our first day of work as this poor guy from Stockton, California. He got stuck between 2 cars at his car wash, because he tried to avoid a crash.
Video of the incident was posted to Twitter by user @0ctobersVeryOwn, who says it was him doing all the superhero work. It shows a man standing by as cars roll in the car wash, when he realizes a red Chevy truck is about to back up.

At first, he tries to motion the driver of the black car behind the truck, but he can’t back away fast enough. After trying to make the driver of the Chevy, apparently a woman, aware of what she was doing, and understanding that a crash is about to take place, the car wash worker jumps between the 2 cars.

The Chevy backs all the way up and out of the car wash. The entire Chevy is covered in foam, which explains why the woman saw neither the employee nor the car behind her. According to the dude, it also explains why she did something this stupid in the first place: it could be that she didn’t even realize she was backing up, since she had zero visibility.

As both cars emerge from the car wash, the employee springs to safety. It looks as if a minor fender bender did happen, but no word yet on whether there was any real damage to either car.

As for the car wash hero, he’s just fine. He still had it in him to joke about the whole thing on Twitter and is now basking in the spotlight. Commenters are mostly congratulating him for his quick thinking, suggesting he should even be named employee of the year and get some kind of special plaque.

There are also a few who point out that what he did was dangerous and ultimately needless, since the cars still bumped. Then again, if he hadn’t sprung to action like this, he wouldn’t be Internet famous right now.
