Car Versus Tree: Make Sure You Have Your Priorities Straight This Christmas

Christmas is that time of the year when we all suddenly remember there’s more to life than work, work and then some more work, for example, things like excessive shopping and careless money spending.
It’s a moment when our values suddenly change and stupid things like cut-down baby-trees become a must-have and covering our houses with as many LEDs as possible is so important that we’re willing to skip food for our entire family so that we can afford that extra neon red-nosed reindeer.

We shouldn't be surprised if people did stupid things around this time of year, then. In fact, as we get closer to the festive season, I’m pretty sure there’s a surge in traffic and household incidents that will culminate on Christmas Eve, but people don’t see a problem with this and continue to leave the lights on and candles lit overnight or drive like zombies in search of that particular gift.

But what can you do, it’s tradition, right? It wouldn’t be Christmas without having the firemen over or paying a visit to your car’s insurance broker.

Take the man in the clip below for example. His family (wife and daughter) are celebrating a great capture - a nice looking Christmas tree - ignoring the strong wind outside. The tree sits on its stand while the two females high-five each other clearly content with their choice. The man climbs into the SUV parked on the driveway when disaster strikes.

The neglected wind finally succeeds in knocking over the precious Christmas tree, to which the whole family reacts. The two women run to the scene of the crime as if the soil was made of Christmas-tree-burning lava, while the man shows absolutely no confidence in his family and gets out of the car to help with the delicate task of lifting the fallen tree as well.

Only he forgets to do a very important thing, especially when your driveway has a considerable slope to it. You’re invited to watch the outcome in the clip below.
