Car Look Alikes: Mazda Demio, Mercedes GLK

We know what you’re thinking: the Mazda2 looks noting like a Mercedes GLK! But you haven’t seen the 1st generation in a long time have you? Production began in 1996 and ended in 2002, and back then, things were a whole lot more boxy.

We haven’t been able to find out who designed the 1st generation Demio, but it looks remarkably similar to a brand new SUV that you might now and like, the Mercedes Benz GLK-Classe.

Unveiled in 2008, the GLK incorporates styling elements from the G-Class with other typical features coming from other Mercedes passenger vehicles, such as the C-Class or ML-Class.

Even though so many years distance them, these two vehicles actually have some design similarities, such as the shape of the A-pilars, the roof rails or the grilles, which despite belonging to different brands have the same overall design.
