If there still are people out there who need more proof to understand that the ban on U-turns in certain road areas has a solid reason, here it is.
That line which forbids U-turns might cause some overly trusting motorists to ignore the possibility of encountering idiots like this one, but only to their own dismay.
Now, truth be told, the scooter is definitely speeding, and the rider will also be blamed for the crash, thus sharing the charges and the fine. Should the scooter have approached at a more decent speed, it may have had enough time to brake harder and possibly avoid the collision altogether.
Unfortunately, this is yet another (likely) avoidable accident not avoided because of speed. Too bad.
