It seems that white helps a vehicle maintain its value longer, with cars that use this color gaining up to 5 percent in value compared to other colors. But don’t think that the first shades on the list only include conservative colors, as white is followed by colors such as purple, pink and yellow. At the other end of the scale, we find green and blue, which have become pretty unatractive for used car buyers.

Of course, the preferences vary according to the segment the car belongs to, so, as you would expect, family cars are preferred in more conservative finishes, while exotic colors dominate the sports car segment.

So, let’s see the best colors in terms of car depreciation prevention:
  • white
  • indigo
  • purple
  • pink
  • yellow
  • gray
  • beige
  • black
  • silver
  • red
  • orange
  • blue
  • gold
  • turquoise
  • brown
