If you have a thing for pickup trucks and at the same time enjoy winter more than regular folks, we might have something for you. What would you think of a pickup truck made out of of ice?! Yes, we’re talking about massive blocks of ice.
It seems that in Canada people know how to work their ice and the guys from Canadian Tire decided to have a bit of fun and crafted a drivable truck from ice. The idea was to promote MotoMaster Eliminator Ultra AGM truck battery, showing drivers that it can work at minus 40 degrees.

We actually think it’s quite brilliant what they did, taking a real truck chassis and going as far as to recreate that entire vehicle, using 11,000 pounds of ice. They even had it tested and actually drove it a mile (1.6 kilometers). Don’t imagine they took it at the highest speed there is, it was more like 20 km/h (12.4 mph) on average. But considering it’s an ice sculpture we have to admit it’s pretty good.

In case you are interested in seeing the guys from Canadian Tire at their best, you can check out the commercial or the video that takes you behind the scenes of the whole thing. We were pretty amazed be what they managed to do, so we believe you might be too.
