Can't Drag a Knee or Elbow? Drag a Hand with the Vandenbrink Carver One!

There are countless designs of vehicles that failed to become popular on a planetary scale, and some of them are actually cool, so we thought to take you back in time a bit and re-introduce the Vandenbrink Carver One to you.

Part car and part motorcycle, the Carver One represents the continuation of a project created by Brink Dynamics, updated, upgraded and brought to a superior commercial form by a group of enthusiasts.

The car part of the Carver One is the classic canopy that protects the rider and the passenger from the elements, to which we must also add the circular steering wheel. However, this is about all the "car" the Carver One has.

The rest of the vehicle was inspired by the motorcycling world and, the leaning design is the main thing about it. Most three-wheelers are not tilting but the Carver One brings the best of the two worlds in a contraption we simply love. The chassis on which the two rear wheels and the engine are mounted remains fixed and sticks to the road in all scenarios, with the camber of the wheels unaltered no matter what.

However, the front end of the Carver One is designed like the fork of a motorcycle, with a single-sided swingarm with hub center steering. The entire front end is linked to the cockpit and this makes it to tilt as the wheel turns to either side, mimicking the way a bike leans into a turn.

The cockpit is attached to the chassis with a hinge in the back and it appears to hover above the engine section. With Elio and so many other fellows that come up with small autocycles bike-derived cars, perhaps some investors could revisit the Carver One and transform it into a successful story.

Clearly, you won't be dragging a knee or an elbow Marquez-style, but grabbing a GoPro is definitely doable. Investors, any bells ringing?
