Announced last fall, the 4-seater Can-Am Maverick Max 1000R has been officially unveiled, alongside other members of the 2014 Maverick and Commander families.
This new SxS will be available in the 1000R and 1000R X xs DPS trim, with the DPS standing for Can-Am's proprietary tri-mode dynamic power steering. It looks like the new Maverick will sports pretty much the same 976cc Rotax v-twin power unit, delivering 101 HP.

Fox 2.0 Podium X shocks with dual-rate springs will offer 14 inches (35.5 cm) of travel, allowing the riders to drive really hard on rough terrain in safety and comfort, with fully-adjustable performance.

The wheelbase of the new beast is now 113.8 inches (2.89 m), providing even more room for the 4 passengers. We're waiting for detailed specs and will be back on this quite soon. The base price is $18,299 (€14,000).

The Commander family comprises updated models, and we'll present each of them in the future: Can-Am Commander 800R DPS, 800R XT, 1000 DPS, 1000 XT, 1000 XT-P, 1000 Limited, while the Maverick line-up for 2014 includes Maverick 800R, 800R DPS, 800R XT, 1000, 1000 DPS, 1000 XT, 1000 XT-P, and 1000 Limited.
