As we've reported last week, citing several media connected to the Campos-Dallara situation, the Italian manufacturer has already built a Formula One chassis for the Spanish outfit, but is yet to receive the money for it. Although it was initially believed that the Italians' patience had already run out and Dallara has sold the car's rights to Serbian team Stefan GP, it now seems that ending was postponed.
“Dallara are great professionals who know the story of Adrian and the difficulties of a project like this, so I am sure they will do everything to find a solution that satisfies both parties,” said Spanish motor federation president Carlos Gracia, according to Diario AS.
The Spanish publication was actually the one to reveal the new deadline, as an official confirmation is yet to be issued by either Dallara or Campos. Either way, the reporters of the aforementioned newspapers argued that Adrian Campos will once again fail to make the deadline, as no major sponsor has shown any signs of wanting to invest in the Spanish team until now.
The “salvation” would rest in the hands of South African businessman Tony Teixeira, but Campos is reluctant to a deal with him because the former A1 GP boss wants to turn his former championship into a feeder series for Campos Grand Prix.
Another information valuable for Campos is that the Concorde Agreement signed by the team last year – and inked by all the F1 teams – states that only after 3 uncontested grands prix a team's entry may be revoked by the FIA.
