The Camaro’s Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser offered attenders of the LA Auto Show a complete insight view of the fresh 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible and the feature is now offered to us on video.
Oppenheiser stresses the fact that the ZL1 is a muscle car that can go round corners, explaining that while its hp rating may be the most impressive thing about it on paper, in reality the car was is also focused on handling, offering us the coupe version’s Nurburgring laptime (7:41:27) as an example.
We’ll remind you that the convertible shares the mechanical side with the coupe, which means that we get 588 hp and a peak torque of 556 lb-ft (754 Nm) from a supercharged 6.2-liter engine. The rest... will be history.
