California Is BMW-Land According to New Study

The guys from everycarlisted.com carried out a study earlier this year to see exactly what cars are preferred by Americans. Their results are not surprising at all excluding some, let's say... special cases.

Analysis of the most popular vehicle by state
As you probably already know, the best selling car in the US for quite some time now is the Ford F-150. Actually, this truck has been holding on to that title for the last 33 years. That's right people, since 1982.

As a matter of fact, you should also know that the Blue Oval's creation was sold in over 300,000 units last year and that was achieved during a transition period. The launch of the new 2015 model meant that sales of the previous version took a dive, but you wouldn't be able to tell by the numbers.

Looking at the picture, you'll see the same idea being reported almost throughout the entire US of A. In 39 of the 50 states, the truck is the most popular choice. There might be a couple of discrepancies, though.

For example, California is Bimmerland judging by this data. According to everycarlisted.com, the Californians prefer the 3 Series sedan model to anything else, no matter what people think about them. You thought that the Toyota Prius would come out on top, didn't you?

On top of that, the Golden State is also spending a little more on a new car than average. Wyoming residents pay top dollar for their cars, the average sitting at $26,868, followed by Hawaiians, Alaskans and Californians.
