A Tech 3 rider until November, Cal Crutchlow shows that nothing has changed yet after the announcement of jumping on a Ducati for the next two seasons.
During the press conference with several of the top MotoGP riders, held on the premises of the Indianapolis Brickyard, the Englishman delighted the audience with his neverending flow of jokes and when asked why did he choose Ducati, he quickly replied: "I like the color!"

Smile and giggles aside, the Brit recently signed a two-year contract with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer. With Csey Stoner being the only rider in the last years who could ride the Ducati MotoGP prototype to consistent victory and the likes of Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi still having a hard time mastering the machine, Crutchlow is tuly reserved.

He adds that according to what he knows from his former Tech 3 team mate Dovi, the bike is really fast, but it's rather hard to tame. He also stresses that he feels there's a lot to be improved, but cannot tell whether the bike suits him better than it did others who rode it.

Cal Crutchlow also mentioned that despite the far better contract he got at Ducati, making the phone call to Herve Poncharal, the Tech 3 boss was the hardest thing of all his mid-season toils. Currently 5th in the World Championship, Cal also say he plans to ride hard aboard the satellite Yamaha for the remainder of the season, now that things have settled down.

The next MotoGP round is this very weekend, August 18, at Indianapolis.
