Former Olympian Bruce Jenner may have disappointed some of his fans when he decided to change his gender and become Caitlyn, but as far as his love for powerful cars racing in the dirt is concerned, that never changed. The best part is he managed to inspire his older son to walk on the same path.
For those who couldn’t care less about the Kardashian family, we have a big thumbs up. But this is not about the K saga we are all tired of. It concerns Bruce Jenner, an athlete who was once seen as a real American Hero. The moments he’d bring back the golden medal home as a successful Olympian are gone, as Bruce Jenner is now Caitlyn Jenner and instead of sports she handles reality television shows.

Some things never change, though, and if being a petrolhead can be considered a hobby, Jenner still has it. It’s a passion he shares with his eldest son, as Jenner would often race along Burt ever since he was still a young boy, and it seems that it has paid off big time.

This weekend was a great one for the 37-year-old race enthusiast, as he won the Stadium Super Trucks Race 1 at Gold Coast 600 in Australia. The word is that Burt Jenner capitalized on a mid-air collision by the leaders on Lap 5 to cruise to his third Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks Presented by TRAXXAS victory of 2015.

“In these SST races, there is so much chaos that develops early. I’ve learned you need to run your own race sticking to your own game plan and watch the heads pop around you and wait for your opportunity to capitalize,” stated Jenner.

With most drivers struggling to hit their marks on the fast and technical temporary beachside street circuit that makes up the 15-turn 1.85-mile (2.98 km) course built for the V8 SuperCars, Jenner raced the second half of the match without any problems and pulled away from the hornet’s nest of trucks. For those who missed the race, a complete summary of the best parts can be consulted below.

We’d only want to add that SST features identically prepared trucks, which are inspired by their scaled-down TRAXXAS radio-controlled car counterparts. Sure, instead of a toy electric engine, these beasts regularly produce about 600 horsepower and generate speeds upwards of 130 mph.
