Cadillac has announced plans to reveal the next-generation Escalade on October 7, during a media event that will take place at the Altman Building in New York City.
The automaker has yet to unveil additional details about the luxury SUV, but we already know that the 2015 Escalade will be underpinned by Chevrolet Silverado’s new platform and powered by the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine. The vehicle will also sport the company’s new LED lights and rumors claim it should arrive with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is expected to arrive in dealerships by mid-2014 with rear-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as an option. No word on whether Cadillac will offer a hybrid version of the luxury SUV or not.

But until the new Escalade breaks cover, but sure to keep an eye out for the 2013 Texas State Fair in Dallas in late September, where GM is said to unveil the next-gen Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL.
