Cadillac to Auction First CT6 Model for Charity

On April 17th, Barrett-Jackson will be auctioning off the first Cadillac CT6 at the Palm Beach collector car auction. That’s right, tomorrow you’ll be able to buy yourself a CT6 way ahead of the rest of the fans of the car and brand.

The auction will be charitable, the earnings going to the Karmanos Cancer Institute that is a unique, integrated center of research, patient care and education. The people working there dedicated their lives to the prevention, early detection, treatment and eventual eradication of cancer.

Located in Midtown Detroit, Karmanos is among the nation’s best cancer centers, caring for more than 6,000 new patients annually and conducting more than 700 cancer-specific programs and clinical trials.

The specification of the first ever manufactured CT6 is not known at the moment but it hardly matters as the owner will probably be keeping it safely locked away somewhere. That’s because this will be a collector’s item in a couple of years.

Even so, since Cadillac got involved in the matter, we’re expecting the sedan to be wearing all of the neat features the company has to offer. That includes a wireless smartphone charger, wi-fi hotspot, quadzone climate control and the new Bose Sound System.

“So many lives are directly touched by the auction of charity vehicles here at Barrett-Jackson,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “I’m absolutely thrilled that the auction can be a platform to help deserving charities while also promoting their selfless work to an international audience.”

Hopefully, there will be plenty of avid Cadillac fans around to get the price tag to a considerable height. We’ll keep you posted with the result of the auction as it unfolds.
