Next month's Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance will be featuring the 2003 Cadillac Sixteen Concept as a very special guest.

Unveiled just ten years ago, the impressive Cadillac Sixteen failed to make it as a production car but it seems to have already gained classic status since it will be seated next to some of the world's most famous vehicles ever built.

Now don't get us wrong, we're not saying it will be out of place at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance by any means. The Sixteen Concept is truly special. We're talking about an ultra luxury vehicle with a huge 13.6-liter 16-cylinder powerplant under the bonnet. The exclusive engine is said to have a minimum output of 1,000 HP and 1,000 lb-ft of torque, which sure sounds like a Pierce Arrow Silver Arrow back in the 1930s (might as well google that).

As far as we know, the Sixteen Concept somehow turned into a smaller Ciel hybrid concept car, probably more fitted for production, but unfortunately that one got lost on the way too. Seems like these kind of cars are to be seen exclusively around these types of Concours d'Elegance events.
