Cadillac is analyzing the possibility of adding a large crossover to its lineup, company senior vice president Bob Ferguson revealed right after the 2015 Escalade was unveiled to the world.
Speaking to Automotive News, Ferguson said GM is pondering a large, unibody crossover that would offer a different ride experience when compared to the truck-like Escalade.
“I'd like to explore the notion of other vehicles that would carry that brand name. There are a number of individuals who just love this vehicle, but there are others who would say 'I would love something that would give me a different ride and a different experience,’” commented Ferguson.
General Motors already offers three large seven-seat crossover on the Lambda platform - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia - but it’s not yet clear whether a future Cadillac will use the same underpinnings.
