While we may have seen our fair share of Chinese copies, most of them were dismissible as mere interpretations and adaptations of other manufacturer’s design. Well, the Shanxi Victory is identical to the Cadillac Escalade EXT version, with only the badge and a few details differentiating the two - from the front, at least.
Why don’t they copy better-looking cars. The Chinese-made Alfa Romeo SUV turned out great and, despite it being wrong and all that, we agreed that it did not look that bad. Cadillac should have never built the Escalade, in the first place, as it is an insult to the planet, and despite its decent sales record over the years, it has absolutely nothing going for it - it is very bad in every single way.((
So, why then have the Chinese chosen to copy it? We really have no idea, but we are very sure that a lawsuit is on its way, because GM doesn’t like other brands stealing the image of theirgreat designs ugly, outdated and inefficient dinosaur, which they market as a luxury vehicle, despite the fact that its plasticky interior is appalling and the ‘leather’ on the seats is so bad you sweat away half your body weight before arriving at your destination.
