Cadillac CTS Range Gets Optional Recaro Seats

Future owners of CTS Cadillacs will have the option to be accommodated by their cars in an euro-sourced hypersport way, as Cadillac announced that the Recaro Performance seats are now available as a limited optional feature throughout for the Premium and Performance trim levels of the 2010 model CTS Sport Sedans.

For $2,800, owners will get a set of Recaro 14-way adjustable seats which were previously only fitted on the 556 HP CTS-V top of the rage (no typo here folks). Apparently, this proved to be an extremely popular option, so the company decided to allow more people to enjoy this piece of contemporary design & engineering car interior feature cocktail.

In the CTS, the Recaros feature adjustable back and thigh support for the driver and front-seat passenger, including a seat cushion extender among the 14 total adjustable elements. The seats come finished in “French-stitched” leather, featuring microfiber suede inserts for the center sections of the cushions and seatbacks. Heating and cooling functions complete the range of special treatments offered for the occupants of the CTS.

The new option will be available this summer on the fresh 2011 CTS Coupe and, of course, on the CTS-V Coupe.

Recaro offers one of the world’s top seating solutions for the automotive sector and not only (the company also manufactures seats for aircraft). The company is a traditional motorsport supplier and its logos can be found on the seats of some of the wildest automotive creations in the world.
