Cadillac Crowned Fastest-Growing Luxury Brand

GM's Cadillac is back in the game. Or so claims the US-based car manufacturer when unveiling the financial performance of the Cadillac brand in 2010. This particular GM core entity sold a total of 16,718 vehicles in December, an increase of 13 percent as compared to the same period of the previous year. Furthermore, Cadillac's retails sales grew 36 percent in 2010 and 28 percent in December.

The SRX was the most impressive model when it comes to 2010 sales, as deliveries increased by 153 percent last year while December was its best month ever, posting an 18 percent increase. Specifically, Cadillac sold 5,865 units of the SRX range last month and a total of 51,094 vehicles in the full year 2010.

CTS continued to perform well last year, Cadillac said, with sales posting a 24 percent increase in December to 5,171 units and 18 percent increase for 2010 to 45,656 units. Escalade remained a top performer as well, reaching 3,814 sold units in December, a 16 percent boost as compared to the same period of the previous year. 2010 sales grew 4 percent in 2010, reaching a total count of 26,874 units.

“Cadillac and its dealers made a concerted effort in 2010 to take all aspects of our business to new levels,”
said Kurt McNeil, vice president for Cadillac sales and service. “As the luxury auto market recovered, Cadillac was poised to provide customers with compelling new products and enhanced service. We’re confident these efforts will continue to pay off for the brand and reinforce our place as the New Standard of the World.”
