Cadillac Ciel Concept Revealed at Pebble Beach

Cadillacs, especially convertible ones, have that American spirit built within, which makes any car enthusiast dream about cruising in one of these history loaded models across Route 66. The latest and most impressive convertible concept from Cadillac brings back its strong and heavily loaded with history background through its fine penciled design lines. Cadillac called its convertible concept Ciel meaning Sky in french. The four-seater and four door concept could represent a possible future design direction for the brand.

“Large, expressive luxury is innate to Cadillac and the Ciel recalls that heritage, while suggesting where the brand can go in the future. Authentic luxury is driven by experiences, not just products, and Ciel is about the experience of the journey,” Clay Dean, global design director for Cadillac.

The four-seater convertible reveals stunning wood and leather trimmings. The Cadillac Ciel concept has an impressive wheelbase of 125-inches and and has overall length almost the same as yacht. Also, it hides under the hood a 425-hp twin-turbo V6 hybrid, with 430 lb-ft of torque. Though the car is amazing, reminding of simpler times, being focused primarily on styling.

That is why the car has no B Pillar and suicide doors. Cadillac managed to blow everyone away with the Ciel concept which somehow is going back to its roots. The manufacturer pulled the impossible when just about every car maker is switching to smaller models,Cadillac revealed its Ciel which stands out from the crowd with its imposing size. This is Cadillac, and this is how it should be.
