Cabrio Fiat 500 Reaches the US

The range of Fiat 500 models offered by the Italian manufacturer in the US and Canada got expanded this week, with the addition of the cabrio version of the model to the range. The North American spec of the car was revealed during the New York International Auto Show, and will be offered complete with an entire range Fiat 500c accessories by Mopar.

In North America, the model will be offered with the new 1.4l MultiAir engine for prices starting at $19,500. The Pop trim of the cabrio will retail from $20,000, each bringing to the market the entire line of Fiat 500 iconic features.

The model is equipped with a fully power-operated cloth top, leather-wrapped steering wheel, central LCD monitor that shows pictograms from the TomTom navigation with BLUE&ME Handsfree Communication and a uniquely designed radio and climate control system.

“Perfectly timed with the warm weather and excitement of spring, the new 2012 Fiat 500 Cabrio expands our product lineup while paying homage to the brand’s rich heritage of open-air cabrios that deliver style, value and driving enjoyment,”
said Laura Soave, head of Fiat Brand North America.
“The new Fiat 500c has been intelligently tailored for our market – now with an added dose of sunshine and panoramic views at the push of a button.”

The cabrio version of the model will be made available in North America towards the end of spring, and will be offered with a choice of 14 exterior colors, 12 unique seat color and material combinations, plus a choice of two interior environments and three exterior soft-top colors.
