We’ve seen the midship Corvette with matte paint and all that jazz, but Rick Dyer took things one step beyond with his C8. His second mid-engine Corvette, to be more precise, and it surely looks unlike a Skittles ad with an LT2 small-block V8 out back.
Posted on the C8 Corvette Owners (And Friends) Facebook group, the following pictures have also attracted a lot of negative reactions. Beauty may be in the eyes of the beholder, but at the end of the day, Rick deserves a fair share of points for originality.

The sports car’s makeover also has a fair bit of Austin Powers and Woodstock 1969 to it, and overall, this midship ‘Vette won’t go unnoticed. Even the removable hardtop has been wrapped, now featuring blue, purple, yellow, and a pinch of black.

Based on the pictures uploaded on social media, Rick’s psychedelic Corvette appears to be a Z51 Performance Package with the black exterior. This color option comes at no additional cost – regardless of the Corvette’s trim level or body style.

At the time of writing, only four finishes are listed under the "premium" handle in the configurator. These are Accelerate Yellow Metallic and Rapid Blue at $500 as well as Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat and Sebring Orange Tintcoat at $995.

Turning our attention back to wraps, did you know there’s a C8 with a Captain America exterior? Owned by Michael Brink – a.k.a. Brink of Speed on YouTube – that car has also proven itself on the dyno with 440 horsepower (446 PS) and 428 pound-feet (580 Nm) of torque at the rear wheels. Roughly 10 percent lower than the crankshaft figures, these numbers are utmost impressive for a stock vehicle.

Another owner, David Savage, gave the engine cover of his C8 an all-custom patriotic makeover. With the help of an airbrush expert, the plastic cover of his LT2 now sports the Red, White, and Blue along with no fewer than 10 five-pointed stars.

Going forward, it’s obvious that we’ll see many more unique C8s given that more cars are heading to their rightful owners with each passing week. Come November 2021, the Bowling Green plant will finally start production of the 2021 Corvette.

A C8 like no other lol
