Also used for the derived unit of frequency, Hertz is one of the biggest players in the business of car rentals. Founded in 1918 in Chicago by Walter L. Jacobs, the American Company with headquarters in Florida stands out in the crowd by means of a color scheme that combines black bodywork with yellow or gold stripes.
For the company’s 100th anniversary in 2018, Hertz rolled off a yellow-painted ‘Vette Z06 with two black stripes. At the time, you could rent the 650-horsepower special edition for $199 a day excluding the applicable fees and taxes. As it's the case with previous Ford Mustang rental cars from Hertz, the C7 Corvette Z06 with the one-off livery was limited to only a handful of locations and only a handful of months.

Moving on to the mid-engine Corvette, the C8 has been treated to the Hertz colors by a man called Marc Fine. Uploaded on the owner’s Facebook page, the photos showcase a yellow stripe that starts from the beak of the front bumper and ends on the rear hatch. The yellow theme continues with the air intakes on the doors and rear fenders as well as the brake calipers of this Z51 Performance Package with the high wing.

Flanking the license plate are two Pittsburgh Steelers chrome emblems, which could only mean that Marc loves his local American football team. Also worthy of mentioning, the current uniform of the Pittsburgh Steelers features a black-and-gold combo. Don't call it yellow because Zach Banner got roasted on Twitter for that by the fans.

It’s more than obvious that we’re actually dealing with a football fan’s car rather than a Hertz enthusiast’s car, but more importantly, Chevrolet doesn’t offer a solid stripe for the C8 Corvette. Your only options for the 2020 model year are Midnight Gray, Sterling Silver, and Carbon Flash Metallic full-length dual racing stripes at $995.

The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette will add a few more options, namely orange, red, yellow, and blue in addition to Stinger stripes on the hood in Edge Yellow, Edge Red, and Midnight Silver. Those who are waiting for the Z06 to roll out with a flat-plane crankshaft V8 and roughly 600 horsepower on deck will have to wait until early 2021 for the 2022 model year according to a recent report.
