For the 2015 model year, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray adds a suite of new bits and bobs, but the highlight of the lot comes in the form of the fast-shifting Hydra-Matic 8L90 automatic tranny. Whereas the standard model makes do with 460 horsepower, the more potent Z06 boasts with a mammoth 650 ponies thanks to its blown 6.2L V8.
However, owners of the standard C7 Corvette in both 2014 and 2015 guise can upgrade their cars to near-Z06 specifications thanks to a Luxembourg-based tuning outfit called Abbes Design. Although their aesthetic enhancements transform the Stingray from a good-looking sports car into a beast, the Abbes Design marketing team refused to detail what they've done with the oily bits. Specifically, the new output.
The tuning firm only mentioned that the car employs a supercharger, a high-performance cooling system and a remapped ECU. Overall, Abbes is promising "linear performance," which is the main advantage of supercharging over strapping a couple of turbos on top of the LT1 6.2-liter small-block V8 powerhouse.
Other notable updates offered by Abbes Design are a new set of high-performance brakes, an adjustable coilover suspension kit for improved handling, a new rear bumper and an aerodynamic diffuser. The visual treatment is rounded off nicely by a deeper front lip spoiler, more prominent side skirts, a Transformers-inspired rear wing and a set of twin five-spoke alloy wheels finished in black.

Don't charge. Supercharge.
If we were offered the choice to make a wild guess, we'd say that this C7 Corvette's output was hiked to at least 600 ponies and 750 Nm (533 lb-ft), similar numbers to what Geiger Cars got out of their 2014 MY Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray supercharging pack, which costs €113,000 with the donor Vette included.Other notable updates offered by Abbes Design are a new set of high-performance brakes, an adjustable coilover suspension kit for improved handling, a new rear bumper and an aerodynamic diffuser.
