The C190 three-pointed star project is apparently going to be called simply GT and is set to be introduced in less than year, with an official unveil most likely to be made at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The name is purely speculation and hasn't been confirmed officially, but it's certainly a much better speculation than the SLC. As many of you know, the SLC was a large luxury coupe that's somewhat of a predecessor to the current CL-Class and the upcoming S-Class Coupe.

Corroborating our very own “Deep Throat” insider information with various spyshots we arrived a few weeks ago at the conclusion that a number of version of the platform used by the upcoming C190 will underpin the entire Aston Martin lineup in the future, replacing the aging V/H architecture.

Set to sport at least two variants of the not-yet released M177 AMG engine and the new twin-turbocharged V6 as a base powerplant, the Mercedes-Benz GT will try to steal sales from the Porsche 911, the Jaguar F-Type and even its future brother, the Aston Martin Vantage.

The M177 is a twin-turbocharged four-liter V8 that is developed by bonding together two M133 two-liter four-cylinder engines from the A/CLA and upcoming GLA 45 AMG and it will deliver around 485 hp in its least powerful configuration.
