C 63 AMG Flexes Its Exhaust Against a BMW M3 E92

If it wasn't so obvious by now, we're pretty infatuated with the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG, and more specifically with its legendary M156 engine.

The largest part of that monster engine's appeals is naturally its small-children-scaring soundtrack, which is pretty much unrivaled in the production V8 engine world.

Sadly, the C 63 AMG and the SLS AMG GT Final Edition (with its M159 derivative engine) are the last two Mercedes-Benz cars to feature this epic 6.2-liter, naturally-aspirated V8, with future AMG models to feature turbocharging exclusively.

One of the C 63 AMG's main rivals, the BMW M3, has already given up on its naturally-aspirated, stratospheric-revving V8, as the upcoming generation of the model will feature a turbocharged inline six.

Until that turbocharged inline six from BMW is pitted against the future turbocharged V8 from AMG, let us enjoy the following normally-aspirated V8 symphony, brought to us via a C 63 AMG and an M3 E92 Coupe revving like there's no tomorrow.

While we think that the S65 engine from BMW is far from sounding bad, its higher pitch is no match for the absolute roar that can be heard from the M156 when put through its paces, and we think we're not alone in this opinion. Enjoy!
