With the W205 generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class just around the corner, as its interior has already been revealed, the Stuttgart car brand decided to offer two of the most bonkers versions of the C 63 AMG, as its epic M156 engine will be replaced in about a year's time.
Obviously, the most hardcore version is the Black Series, but that variant is only offered in coupe guise. The Edition 507, on the other hand, can be had as either the coupe, the sedan or even the station wagon (where available).
You can look at the C 63 AMG Edition 507 as either a milder Black Series or an even more powerful and track-focused C 63 AMG with Performance Package.
Its 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 offers – you guessed it – 507 hp instead of the “regular” 457 hp in the standard car or the 487 hp in the C 63 AMG with Performance Package, while the torque figures slightly improve from 600 Nm (443 lb ft) to 610 Nm (450 lb ft).
Along with a host of parts taken straight out of the SLS AMG and the C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series, you can pretty much guess that this model is a monster swan song for the AMG C-Class W204, but to see what the sedan version can offer to its Aussie clients, for example, you can check out Drive's C 63 AMG Edition 507 review.
