With the epic M156/M159 family of AMG engines on their last production leg this year, the peeps from Affalterbach decided to end it all with a bang.
No, we are not talking about the Black Series versions of the SLS AMG and the C 63 AMG Coupe, but an even newer model.

The Edition 507 variant of the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG is almost like a swan song to the legacy of AMG naturally-aspirated engines, as its M156 will be replaced in less than a year by a four-liter, twin-turbocharged V8.

With a not-so-surprising 507 hp and a tire-torturing 610 Nm (450 lb ft) of torque, the C 63 AMG Coupe Edition 507 is the third most powerful production C-Class in history, with only the Black Series and the Brabus-tuned DR 520 (limited to the UK and only available in 20 units, ed) having more horsepower.

Well, if you ever wondered how would the Edition 507 fare on the humorously-named Killarney Raceway in Cape Town, the boys from the South African edition of Car Magazine have put together a rather enjoyable video, which you can watch bellow.
