Busta Rhymes Stars in Toyota’s Newest Ad: Weird and Chubby

For some reason Toyota thought a three-minute rap video having kids and their parents singing over a beat is the perfect commercial for their 2015 Sienna minivan. Besides the obvious fact it’s truly awful, at some point Busta Rhymes comes in for some rhymes, probably hopping that he’ll make the ad look better, but it doesn’t.
To start with, Toyota’s marketing producers thought naming their new minivan Swagger Wagon is cool. Well, it’s not. Even if you’d take the whole scene in kindergarden, it would still not make it up to the like button. Folks, hear this: youngsters already now technology, gadgets and smartphones better than a lot of grown ups do, nowadays. Moreover, the kids are not even the ones to decide what car parents will buy, even though Toyota is subtly suggesting that.

Secondly, why would you think a normal white American family would know how to rap and even be cool at it? Honestly, even French rap sounds better. The Neubert family raps about things that the ears dare not comprehend over a trap-styled beat, and the moment when Busta Rhymes comes in charge is still not saving the day, unfortunately.

Known for his fast rate with lots of internal rhyme and half rhyme, Busta looks like he even gained more weigh since last time we’ve seen him at the Gumball 3000 rally, which is again not that cool. But at least he is a genuine rapper and knows what he’s doing, as opposed to the Neuberts.

Long story short, the new ad would make it as a good example of how to not do something.
