Busta Rhymes Escorted by Cops Off Flight for Making Woman Cry Over Luggage Space

Busta Rhymes is not the guy you’d ever want to get into a territorial dispute, even if said territory refers to the overhead luggage compartment in a first-class flight from the U.S. to the U.K. At least, according to reports in the British media.

According to a fellow passenger on the London-bound British Airways flight, Busta got super offended when he boarded the plane with his carry-on and noticed that the space allotted to him had been occupied by another passenger’s luggage. He then did what many of us from economy are guilty of doing: he yelled and ranted and became really upset.

The difference would be that Busta didn’t stop even when the offending passenger, a woman, quickly jumped from her seat and offered to remove her suitcases. He didn’t stop either when she started crying or when her husband and other passengers intervened, to get him to calm down, the Daily Mail claims.

If anything, he grew even more furious and continued lashing out until cabin crew and the pilot himself had to step in. They offered him some water and the possibility to board a different flight for London, which he refused. The alternate flight, not the water.

“Busta got on the plane and saw that this woman had put her luggage in his section of the overhead locker. He was ranting and raving, getting really angry and demanding to know why she had used his locker,” the eyewitness tells the Mail.

“As she got more and more tearful, her husband intervened and told him he needn't be so rude to his wife. He said that he was upsetting her when she was clearly happy to move her things,” adds the same source.

The pilot eventually took off after everyone promised to be on their best behavior. Met Police officers waited for Busta upon landing and took him in for questioning, but he wasn’t arrested or charged.

There’s also video of the supposed altercation but it doesn’t corroborate the above report. If anything, Busta is cooler than a cucumber, telling one man he had no right to intervene and calmly clarifying what the man had perceived as a threat.
