Busch Loves Charlotte, Wins Tech-Net Auto Service 300

For the fourth time in the past five races, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch took the win at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Tech-Net Auto Service 300 Nationwide race, 0.112 seconds ahead of Brad Keselowski. The win is also Busch’s fifth in this season.

Busch didn’t had it easy though, as both Keselowski, NASCAR and even his own team threw just about anything at him to keep him from winning. Yet, despite Keselowski opposition during a series of restarts, despite the pit road speeding penalty and even despite the out-of-sequence pit stop, Busch had his way after the green-white-checkered-flag restart added three more laps to the scheduled 200.

"We started out really, really tight," Busch said on Victory Lane about his out-of-sequence pit stop, according to NASCAR. "I just felt like I was over-pushing the right front tire and wasn't sure what I was feeling over the seams in the race track and running high.”

"It kind of felt soft, and down the front straightaway a couple times it felt weird, so I just wanted to be on the safe side and bring it down -- and fortunately, there was nothing wrong."

Saturday’s race winner will not start the Nashville Nationwide race the next weekend, aiming to give all he’s got to win the Sprint. A presence which will be missed by runner-up Keselowski.

"I'm really going to miss him not running next week," Keselowski said. "We bring out the best in each other -- and sometimes the worst. We've still got the points lead. It really means a lot to me and this team to have the points lead going into Nashville, before some of these Cup guys quit."

The Tech-Net Auto Service 300 top five was completed by Joey Logano, Justin Allgaier and Ryan Newman.
