Bumblebee Beats a Mascot in Chevy Super Bowl Ad

According to the latest information, one in three ads to be aired during this weekend's Super Bowl will be about cars. This is why, for some, the pressure of being up to the gargantuan task of impressing the audience is a bit too much.

Among the first to snap under the pressure is Chevrolet's Camaro that, while shooting a commercial for Al's Chevrolet somewhere in the continental USA, got a bit too personal with the dealer's mascot. The story goes a bit like this.

Al, an all American entrepreneur, is trying to make the most out of the most watched sporting event on the continent and announces a “Super Xtravaganza Sale,” at the center of which the dealer decided to place the brand new Camaro. And the ad goes like a charm, until Al decides to give us a painfully graphic description of what smashing prices means to him.

A mascot comes into the scene, armed with a toy hammer, and begins pounding the hood of the yellow Camaro. That's all it took for the stressed out Bumblebee. He, who fought the Autobots on Cybertron and Earth, is humiliated by a chipmunk mascot? NEVER! What follows is PG-13, at least.

The Camaro morphs, unlike the Bumblebee in the Transformers movies, into one angry machine. All the wrath is directed towards the poor mascot who, as far as we know, was only following orders when it hit the Camaro on the hood.

As Al runs away in disbelief, Bumblebee picks up the mascot and throws it right in front of frightened Al. Unfortunately, we have no idea whether the mascot survived or not. Bumblebee, on the other hand, will show its face again on July 1.
