Bullitt Ford Mustang Clone Spotted

We don’t really know why everybody wants a clone of Eleanor from “Gone In 60 Seconds” when this car has so much more classic appeal. It’s the Bullitt Ford Mustang from the famous 1968 movie, or rather a clone of the auto legend.
This 1968 Mustang GT Fastback finished in Highland Green looks much like the car Steve McQueen drove in the movie chase scene. Curiously enough, the classic sopped by Subaruwrxfan at the 2011 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is sitting alongside a 2008 Bullitt edition Mustang.

But this retro copy isn’t identical to the car used in Bullitt, as it has not been debadged (who would want that?) and has less chunky rims. It’s also an automatic instead of a manual. But in the end, the classic lines of the fastback body work perfectly with the green paintjob.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
