Vilner, a Bulgarian interior specialist, unveiled its first project made for a Chinese customer in its new workshop. The vehicle is a 2010 MINI One Cabrio of the R57 generation.

The tuning specialists from Vilner responded to the young customers’ expectations and developed a car that knows not the words “modesty” or “discreetness.”

The project in question is made for actress Tyan Lynn, who moved to Beijing in 2011 with this MINI, which she decided to customize with the help of Vilner.

The customers’ requests were a car that would reflect “her motto in life and her sensuality.”

Since the young actress believes she’s “a colourful person who expresses itself with every item or piece of clothing,” her car could not be bland. So the guys at Vilner pulled off a unique and unconventional approach to the 2010 MINI One Cabriolet for their first customer in China.

As you can see, the interior is covered in purple Alcantara and leather. The color was chosen because it represents “sweetness of life,” while the blue accents of the interior should to stand for the “vastness of the human soul.” Stitching is in contrast with the upholstery, the chosen shade of white also being the seatbelt color. Since the exterior of the car is White, it was only normal to somehow link it with the interior.

If you’re wondering what’s with the shiny gold parts, Vilner’s press release states that they are made of pure gold, just like the hand-crafted parts on the buttons on the center console and on many switches on board. It appears that the customer insisted that all the cutting and graving on the gold parts be done by hand.

The tuning job was not over with the mods stated above, the little MINI One Cabriolet receiving around 25 layers of special coatings and lacquer on the plastic dash elements to get to the shown look. The same effect has been applied to some buttons.

In an awkward contrast, the MINI’s exterior got an almost regular paint job. The wheels have been painted white, while the wheel arches themselves have an asymmetric pattern: the ones on the front are blue, while the ones on the back are in body color.

In a way, we think Vilner’s press release describes this car better than we tried to do: “Discrete as a firework.”
